Construction and renewable energy specialists  Alumet have been awarded their third Green Apple Award for Environmental  Excellence in as many years. Alumet  Director Dean Walton collected the award from  inventor Trevor Baylis OBE at a gala ceremony in  Canary
Wharf,  London on 25th June. The Green  Apple awards are held annually and reward companies who have excelled in their  commitment to minimizing the environmental impact of their operations.
 Dean Walton commented “We are absolutely  delighted to receive our third Green Apple award. We have been working tirelessly to improve our  sustainability standards throughout the business. It is fantastic to have our  achievements validated by the Green Apple judges.”
Green Apple organiser Richard Collins added "It's really great to see continuous best practice improving year on year. Alumet's achievements are both progressive and innovative and provide a great template for others to follow."
Alumet's progress in the past year has seen them install a 500 unit PV array to power their headquarters as well as retrofitting their facilities with Schuco's latest eco system, the ERC 50 Renovation Facade which features triple glazed windows and additional insulation. As well as this they have built on their success in the solar PV industry by expanding their products to include additional renewable technologies.
The company have also launched a new division called Alumet Regenerate which offers clients complete building regeneration services to maximise the sustainability of their building. Services encompass providing energy assessments, installing renewable technologies, monitoring carbon emissions and providing advice to maximise the clients FiT, RO and RHI contributions.
