Hunter Douglas External Venetian Blinds

Hunter Douglas External Venetian Blinds are designed to improve indoor environmental quality and conserve energy. These systems help create built environments that are comfortable, healthy, productive, and sustainable. Our engineering and production processes minimize embodied environmental impact while meeting the highest standards for commercial, hospitality, industrial, institutional, and commercial applications. In order to obtain the optimal shading performance for a building and its occupants we developed computer simulation and calculation tools. Our project support team can analyze, visualize and optimize Window Covering Solutions with the Hunter Douglas Light and Energy Tool. The internal Venetian Blind has been a classic for many decades, but there is also an external version of it. Sturdier, yet discrete, effective and flexible, it is one of the most preferred and most efficient methods of exterior solar shading. External Venetians add to the building aesthetics without overpowering it. The Venetian Blind is the quintessential solar blind: it can be lowered and raised while the slats can be tilted for optimal visual conditions: that is total flexibility. Available in a range of slat widths (50, 60, 80 and 88 mm) and an endless variety of colours, it is an efficient and welcome addition to every façade. Natural daylight is a source of psychological well-being and improves user comfort and productivity. Hunter Douglas ‘Duolux’ Outside Venetian Blinds are designed to let more natural daylight into the building while stopping excessive heat from the sun. The blind has two zones: the top zone will be kept more open for sending maximum daylight deep into the building, while the bottom part is filtering the sun and providing comfort in the field of vision.
