IKO Launches First Hot Melt Waterproofing System With Built-In Root Protection
IKO PLC has expanded its offer with the addition of the first monolithic anti-root hot melt structural waterproofing system. The PermaTEC Anti-Root Compound, ideal for extensive, intensive and biodiverse green roof specifications, was launched in March at the Ecobuild exhibition held at Earls Court. This latest innovation from IKO, eliminates the need for a separate anti-root membrane, making the specification and installation process both simpler and more cost effective. For added reliability and peace of mind, the PermaTEC Anti-Root Compound provides a 6mm thick monolithic root barrier system with no side or end laps to fail. Some of the added benefits of UK manufactured PermaTEC Anti-Root, is there are less pallets to transport and less pallets to crane to roof level. It has ‘zero packaging’ making on site work more efficient with no opening and disposing of cardboard boxes. It is a long-lasting, durable waterproofing system and is available with a full range of system accessories.
