Western Red Cedar Solid Wood
Hunter Douglas Western Red Cedar solid wood ceiling system with a combination of both Linear Open and Grid systems. Hunter Douglas solid wood ceiling systems can be designed and constructed in such a way that many variations in ceiling shape are possible. Convex, concave, undulating, horizontal, sloped, and even vertical wall solutions are achievable. The solid wood panels are grooved on the back and into these grooves fit the patented clips. These fixing clips come pre-mounted on the suspension rails at the required modular dimension. The panels are attached to the rail by clamping them onto the clips using a special hand operated tool. Using this patented way of fixing the panels, they cannot warp and will remain straight, with any expansion or contraction of the wood, caused by fluctuations in humidity, being evenly divided over the length and width of the panels. The system is available in many different species of wood, with FSC or PEFC certification available. Most common wood species are readily available with more exotic types being dependant on availability on the world markets.
