Forticrete, the UK’s leading manufacturer of architectural masonry products, has been presented with three accolades, including the prestigious Gold award for Health and Safety Improvements, at the 2013 British Precast Best Practice Awards.
The award, which recognises Forticrete’s continual improvement in the fields of behavioural, physical and occupational safety, came with a prestigious Red Seal, which highlights the organisation’s success in reducing the number of accidents throughout its workforce in line with the British Precast’s Concrete Targets Scheme (CT2015) over the past 12 months.
To cap off an already successful evening, Glenn Regan, the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, was also recognised for his contribution to health and safety performance and improvement at the company, receiving the award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Health and Safety’. Forticrete was also presented with the accolade of ‘Runner up’ in the ‘Sustainability’ category for its energy reduction efforts at its Leighton Buzzard site.
