Following the successful launch of their Timberline wood-effect balustrade in 2010, this year Neaco are introducing a new balustrade system of a very different kind with the Genesis range for urban and industrial landscapes. While Timberline’s aluminium balustrade features a powder coated reproduction of natural oak grain that is ideal for commercial and residential developments, Genesis is designed for much harsher environments. Genesis systems are fully recyclable, corrosion-free, DDA compliant and environmentally friendly with a modular construction which requires no welding for assembly.
Available as mill finished or coated, Genesis also provides fast installation with minimal energy consumption and disruption to site. “Timberline was designed primarily with aesthetics in mind, providing the attractive appearance of timber without the environmental, hygienic and maintenance concerns associated with it,” said Neaco’s national sales manager, Richard Richardson-Derry. “With Genesis we have concentrated more on attributes such as extreme durability and recyclability which are especially valuable in industrial environments such as water treatment works and chemical plants.

Timberline is warm and comfortable to the touch with the superior smoothness of powder coating. The system is non-absorptive – unlike genuine timber handrails, which require ongoing treatment to maintain their aesthetic, prevent absorption of bacteria and control infection.
