Innovative construction products manufacturer, Hilti has attained British Board of Agrément (BBA) certification for its complete Eurofox façade technology portfolio.
Incorporating both the rainscreen systems and rainscreen cladding support systems, key performance factors independently assessed by the BBA included mechanical resistance and stability, behaviour in relation to fire, drainage and ventilation and durability.
Hilti acquired Eurofox in May 2011 in order to complement its existing product portfolio and offer a complete solution for ventilated façade substructure.
The accreditation means that Hilti is now able to offer both BBA approved façade systems and Construction Products Regulation (CPR) compliant fastenings, meaning a fully harmonised design between the two key elements of ventilated façade.
The BBA is the UK's major authority offering approval and certification services to manufacturers and installers supplying the construction industry. BBA Approval is recognised by building control, government departments, architects, local authorities, specifiers and industry insurers.
