Cobalt Park, the UK's largest office park, has selected Lanes Group to provide reactive drainage maintenance support.
The prestigious office park, in North Tyneside, has chosen the Lanes Tyne and Wear regional depot in Newcastle to provide a call out service to unblock drains.
Cobalt Park provides high quality office premises supported by amenities such as shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, creating a new community as well as a place to work.
Lanes Group is the UK's largest independent specialist underground pipe and utilities specialist.
This year, the company won the Construction News Health and Safety Excellence Award. It has also won the RoSPA Gold Award for health and safety four years in a row.
Lynn Cramman, Cobalt's development manager, said: "We are setting new standards in office premises in the North East, with award-winning buildings and cutting-edge sustainable design.
"We want to work with service suppliers who share our values of excellence, which is why we have chosen Lanes Group as our preferred supplier of drainage maintenance services.
"It is essential that Cobalt's infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, so the many thousands of people who work here, with more to follow, can be confident of a world class service.
"Being able to call on Lanes Group, when necessary, is part of how we achieve that."
Eddie Roughley, the Lanes Tyne and Wear regional manager, said: "We are delighted to be able to support Cobalt Park. It is fast becoming one of the economic power houses in the area.
"Lanes Group has the capacity and technological expertise to respond to the drain maintenance requirements of the biggest commercial premises, so we are confident we are the natural choice for clients like Cobalt."
Cobalt Park is being developed by London-based Highbridge Properties, offering a range of premises, including serviced offices, data centres and quality office space for the smallest to the largest businesses.
Clients who have already moved in include Accenture, Santander, P&G, the NHS, EE, G4S, Newcastle Building Society and Balfour Beatty.
