Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd is pleased to introduce new additions to its multi-scroll chiller product series – for tight spaces the EWA(Y)Q~G- air cooled multi-scroll chillers offer capacity requirements of 75kW to 150kW, and the EWWQ-G or L R-410A water-cooled chillers and heat pumps are suitable for larger applications with capacity requirements from 90kW to 721kW all with compact footprint design.
Class-leading efficiencies are now possible in the smallest of spaces, with the launch of the quiet EWA/YQ~G- air cooled R-410A multi scroll chiller and heat pump series.
Whilst offering unbeatable value, these new modular products add unique options for specifiers looking for energy efficient cooling only or heat pump solutions for direct unit replacements and installations where space is tight.
As well as being amongst the most compact units in the market, these air cooled chillers are optimised and designed to achieve maximum efficiencies, ensure low running costs and meet all year round needs. In addition, these products are suitable for sound-sensitive projects for quiet operation and additional optional acoustic insulation variations available.
The carefully developed footprint design and modular approach of this multi-scroll series suit a wide range of new and existing operating conditions in many applications, and also allow for installation of hydronic kits with pumps and tanks without increasing the exterior unit dimensions. The EWA/YQ~G- range is a perfect match for environments where high performance and reliability is paramount.
Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd has also extended the R-410A multi-scroll chillers range with the addition of new water-cooled models that offer an affordable and flexible solution for retrofit and replacement projects in small to medium scale facilities.
The EWL/H/WQ~G- and EWL/H/WQ~L- units offer total application versatility and are suitable where cooling and heating or cooling only is required to improve energy savings. These chillers are supplied with two or four compressors and have been designed to ensure low operating costs whilst presenting a wide choice of configurations such as stacking for smaller spaces and flexibility for complex requirements.
Design features include scroll compressors and plate-to-plate heat exchangers as standard, with a choice of single and dual circuit combinations. The single circuit version has two compressors and is perfect for economic applications, whereas the dual circuit system has four compressors and is as such the ideal choice where part-load efficiency and redundancy are vital.
For process cooling applications, Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd offers two cooling versions (EWWQ~G- and EWWQ~L-) with capacities ranging from 93kW to 721kW. The new cooling only models (EWLQ~G- and EWLQ~L-) with a remote condenser version also come in two sizes with capacities ranging from 86kW to 676kW.
In addition, there are two alternative cooling and heating systems that offer a heat pump with reversibility on the water side delivering cooling from 93kW to 721kW and heating from 234kW to 916kW. Where heat pump reversibility is required on the refrigerant side in geothermal source applications, Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd offers the EWHQ~G- models with capacities ranging from 87kW to 420kW.
