As part of a refurbishment programme to extend the lifespan of over 80 houses in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, Sika has supplied a range of high performance repair and protection solutions that will help to preserve the buildings’ aesthetics and performance standards for years to come. At the housing estate in Rawmarsh, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council appointed main contractor Hall Construction Group Ltd to complete a series of improvements including the application of new external wall insulation, cladding and roofing systems. With many homes also requiring structural repairs, a range of systems was required to maintain the concrete elements and protect the steel reinforcements from future deterioration.
