The National Housing Maintenance Forum 2027 Awards and Conference plans have been announced, with the theme for the next event focused on Raising Standards Together.
The event, which is taking place on 20th and 21st January 2027 at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford-upon-Avon, combines the Best Practice Awards and this time, a one-day conference.
Neil Watts, Interim Chair of the NHMF explains more: “The annual NHMF Maintenance Conference is a popular event amongst the social housing maintenance community.
“But, with everyone under increasing pressure from rising challenges and restricted resources, we wanted to ensure the event was valuable and accessible for all. That’s why the 2027 event has been condensed to a one day conference that is free for housing providers to attend. The popular awards will take place on the evening of 20th January, followed by the conference on 21st.

“The streamlined format will help delegates make the most of their time, combining practical insight, best practice, innovation and networking in a concentrated programme, as well as still having the opportunity to celebrate all the great work that’s being done to help improve the sector and our resident’s homes. Plans are coming together for the event, and the awards are open to enter now.
“The NHMF Best Practice Awards are all about celebrating the organisations, partnerships, projects and individuals that are raising standards across housing maintenance and asset management.
“From innovative products and digital solutions to building safety, sustainability, customer engagement, social value and people development, the awards recognise those delivering measurable benefits for residents, communities and organisations.
“Whether you have led a transformative project, developed a groundbreaking solution, built an exceptional partnership, championed inclusion, or inspired future talent, this is your opportunity to showcase your achievements. Judges will be looking for innovation, collaboration, value for money, resident benefit and lasting impact, alongside ideas and approaches that can help drive improvement across the wider housing sector.
“We strongly believe that best practice is delivered through collaboration between housing providers/ local authorities and service providers and encourage joint entries between contractors and clients.”
Entries are open now, with a closing date of 30th October 2026.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for both the awards and conference.
