The Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) 2011 Awards are now open for entries. Launched at the INCA AGM on Thursday 20 January, the awards reward the achievements of the leading players in the external wall insulation (EWI) industry and will be looking for the most successful projects of the last year.
The EWI industry has a central role to play in the delivery of the Government’s green strategy as the UK works towards an 80% reduction in its carbon emissions by 2050. In an increasingly competitive market, the INCA 2011 Awards will help companies to stand out from their competitors. Each year, the closely fought competition showcases how EWI is creating improved social wellbeing by bringing buildings up to modern-day standards of thermal performance and reducing energy consumption and fuel poverty.
There are 7 award categories for 2011 offering opportunities to the full range of EWI projects in the new build and refurbishment, non-residential and domestic sectors. The winners will be selected by an independent judging panel of industry experts who will be looking for design and aesthetics, quality of workmanship, technical difficulty and thermal performance. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.inca-ltd.org.uk and the awards will be presented at the 2011 INCA Conference & Exhibition on Wednesday 12 October.
Bob Deane, Managing Director of Wetherby Building Systems, whose Greenhouse project won the 2010 Project of the Year, explains why he will be entering the INCA Awards again in 2011:
“INCA is at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the EWI industry and winning an INCA award makes your business stand out from the crowd. I was incredibly proud to pick up the Project of the Year award last year on behalf of Wetherby and the system installer as it was a great way of showing our clients that we are the best at what we do. I would encourage everyone involved in EWI to enter the INCA 2011 Awards and boost their business prospects.”
The INCA 2011 Awards are open to all EWI projects where the system designer and contractor are members of INCA and the closing date for entries is Monday 21 March 2011.
