John Brash, the UK’s leading manufacturer of graded timber roofing battens, shingles & shakes, scaffold boards and commercial anti-slip decking; has announced the appointment of Chris Watson to managing director.
Chris first joined John Brash as finance director a little over ten years ago, and his appointment as managing director is a testament to his ongoing commitment and dedication to the company and the timber industry as a whole.
Chris’ new role as managing director will see him take responsibility for the overall management of the company and work alongside chairman Christian Brash to develop the longer term strategy.
Christian says, “Chris has enjoyed the family shareholders support and has always made a significant contribution to the business. He will also bring to the table his previous experience as managing director of a large PLC from earlier in his career. We’re delighted to announce this new position for Chris.”
The appointment comes as part of an important new strategic direction for John Brash; part of which involves strengthening the management team and establishing a clear industry voice with the authority, experience and knowledge to continue adding value to clients and the wider industry; cementing John Brash’s position as market leader.
