As part of the BRE Innovation Park tenth anniversary celebration, Lord Prescott will officially open the Wienerberger e4 Brickhouse – a new home built by Europe’s largest brickmaker.
The e4 project represents an innovative and alternative approach to the current challenges faced by the housing sector – it is affordable, high quality, sustainable and healthy and can be delivered quickly and at volume.
On June 16, Lord Prescott will also visit factory built Userhuus - the very latest addition to the Park which was erected on site in just one day and complete and ready to live in just two weeks.
He will meet with Park partners past and present and tour the other buildings of the Park, including the Prince’s Natural House, designed and built by the Prince of Wales’ Foundation for Building Community.
Ten years ago, at BRE's OFFSITE2005 event, then Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott officially opened the BRE Innovation Park – a demonstration village of eco-homes and showcase for innovative methods of construction.
