As the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, NHBC's registration statistics are a lead indicator of UK house-building activity. For 80 years, NHBC has been committed to driving up quality and raising standards in housebuilding and has approximately 80% market share.
Commenting on the latest figures, NHBC Chief Executive Mike Quinton said: "We saw strong numbers across the majority of the country throughout the month as we approach the end of the year.
"As ever, NHBC remains fully committed to support the industry to build new homes to the highest possible standards."
During Sept '16 – Nov '16, the number of NHBC new home registrations was 40,335, compared to 38,134 in the same period last year - 30,587 were registered in the private sector, compared to 29,586 in the same period last year; and 9,748 were registered in the affordable sector, compared to 8,548 in the same period last year.

Changes can occur between figures published at different times owing to changes in policies and cancellations.
NHBC’s role is to support the industry in maintaining and improving the build quality of new homes for homebuyers, whilst providing the benefit of its 10-year Buildmark warranty protection, when required.
