With the NHS and social care issues high on the public agenda, BRE's upcoming Healthy Places for People conference will address the urgent challenges, priorities, opportunities and solutions for enabling elderly people to stay in their home, independently and live well for longer.
Against a background theme of tackling poor housing conditions and facilitating better access to care and support services to improve the life chances of the elderly, the conference will host leading speakers from across the housing, healthcare and dementia sectors. These are people who are delivering health based housing solutions and driving the research and innovation agenda on key challenges like dementia.

The programme includes:
Chaired by Dr Charles Alessi, Senior Advisor and Lead for Preventable Dementia, Public Health England, the conference will include a keynote address by Lord Richard Best, whose roles includes co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People.
The Healthy Places for People conference takes place on 28 March 2017 at BRE Watford.
