BRE has announced the appointment of Eloise Francis as its new Director of Innovation.

In her new role, Eloise will be responsible for driving innovation, research, and technical excellence at BRE.

Eloise joins BRE with extensive experience in leading change in diverse technical teams across engineering, real estate, property management, and construction projects.

Alongside her considerable profile within the industry, Eloise has played a key role leading the construction and property sector in its approach to health, safety and wellbeing, and more recently, enterprise risk and sustainability.

Eloise also brings extensive board experience to her new role at BRE having sat on a number of key industry forums and previously held roles at Capita, Mace, Royal Mail, and Legal & General.

Eloise’s unique mix of hands-on and corporate experience will play a crucial role as BRE continues to lead the industry in developing innovative science-led solutions to built environment challenges.

Speaking about her appointment, Eloise commented: “I am incredibly excited to be joining BRE and to be contributing to the important work the organisation is leading on, particularly when it comes to decarbonising and improving the safety of the built environment. I am looking forward to playing a leading role in demonstrating how BRE can contribute to what is a crucial time for many areas of construction and the built environment.”

Phil Wilbraham, BRE Trust Chair, added: “I am thrilled to welcome Eloise to the BRE team. With her extensive industry experience, we look forward to her invaluable contributions as she helps to drive innovation forward at BRE. Innovative solutions in the built environment have never been more crucial, with the many external pressures facing developers and consumers today and with pace towards transitioning to net zero quickening. With Eloise on the team, I am confident that our responsible leadership on a range of issues will be strengthened even further.”
