Based in Manchester, multi-disciplinary architectural practice, Studio Power has specified Cosentino's carbon neutral Dekton surfaces throughout the interior of property developer and home builder, Salboy's residential sales showroom in Salford. With Studio Power's dedication to high quality and unique design, Dekton Danae was an ideal fit for the project and was specified in various thicknesses for use as internal cladding, staircase and furniture throughout. The 20mm thickness was perfect for the staircase while 12mm was chosen for the reception desk and 8mm for the wall and column claddings and planters. Domis Construction helped bring the project to life from conception to construction, with Granite Tops UK as the fabricator.
“We’ve specified Dekton before, and it's great for both aesthetics and durability” says Sam Power, Director of Studio Power, “Danae was the perfect shade to complement the rest of this scheme. We’ve been impressed by the versatility of the different thicknesses and because it’s carbon neutral, it’s always preferable. You can achieve really sharp details as well as mitred corners on the planters and stairs and its slip resistance and durability is ideal for this application.”
Part of the Natural Collection from Dekton, Danae comprises different shades of beige to create a sand-like surface that reflects the light and captures the essence of movement. Dekton is Cosentino’s ultra-compact and high-performance surface that offers an infinite variety of design possibilities for both indoor and outdoor spaces. The perfect choice for this high traffic residential sales showroom, Dekton is highly scratch, stain, fire and heat resistant. It’s ideal for commercial and residential projects including surfaces for staircases, cladding, floors, furniture and more. What's more, carbon neutrality has been achieved for the entire life cycle of Dekton, so specifiers can rest assured that their surface of choice is sustainable and helps build a better future. Dekton® by Cosentino is available in a range of designs, from industrial inspired to marble look. Discover the full range here.
