International construction and consultancy company Mace has been appointed by CO—RE on behalf of Ivanhoé Cambridge and Allianz on the redevelopment of the prestigious Stonecutter Court, a 13-storey office scheme in London.
The development will deliver 250,000 sq. ft arranged over two basement levels, ground and podium, with four roof terraces. Additional features include four retail units and courtyard space which will be re-purposed for public access.
Located in Farringdon bordering the City of London, Stonecutter Court is being re-developed into a flexible, user experience-driven office building, leveraging today’s global best practices to deliver a truly tenant centric design.

The building is being designed to support a hybrid workforce and provide flexible spaces that evolve around the needs of its occupiers. The scheme will incorporate the latest wellbeing features and smart building systems.
Reducing carbon will be a key priority for Mace on the project, with a net zero carbon delivery strategy in place to reduce emissions from site energy and water use, embodied carbon, as well as transport and waste. The project is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating and WELL Gold standard upon completion.
Ged Simmonds, MD Commercial Offices & Residential at Mace, said: “This is a fantastic win for Mace, and I am proud that we have been appointed as construction partners by our new clients CO-RE on such an ambitious development. Sustainability is one of our biggest drivers and we have a strong track record in delivering sustainable office buildings that set new standards in carbon reduction.”
Luke Wainwright Director at CO—RE, said: “Mace has demonstrated a proactive attitude throughout the procurement process, settling the building contract, engaging with the design team & wider supply chain and liaising with Erith who will shortly complete the enabling works on site. We look forward to delivering this exciting project with Mace.”
Stonecutter Court is jointly redeveloped by real estate investment firm Ivanhoé Cambridge and Allianz.
UK law firm, Travers Smith has agreed to a 15-year lease and will be taking up 158,000 sq ft of the building.
