Dimplex has launched the Latitude Commercial heat pump, which at just 52 dB(A) at measuring point A7/W55[1] is the quietest commercial heat pump on the market.

As well as quiet operation, the Latitude Commercial heat pump delivers reliable efficiency with nominal heating and cooling outputs of 20 or 40 kW per unit or up to 500 kW with a flexible cascade design. It features a sleek, modern look and has been developed for commercial applications, including care homes, retail, education, leisure, warehouses and industrial units, as well as large residential properties.

“We know that one of the primary concerns about specifying commercial air source heat pumps is noise, especially in environments where it can interrupt sleep, learning, work or home life, and become a compliance issue” explained Mark Burton, Head of Renewables at Dimplex. “With this in mind, we have reimagined the heat pump EC axial fan. Its contours have modelled on the profile of an owl’s wings, emulating how it glides through the air. The result is a unit that is ideal for environments where quiet operation is essential.”

“Of course, performance is also important. Specifiers can be assured knowing that Latitude Commercial has been designed with tomorrow’s standards in mind; it not only helps to meet current building regulation energy efficiency requirements but also those expected in the Future Homes and Buildings Standards.”

“This, combined with its compact, low-profile outdoor design, means that the Latitude Commercial heat pump is suitable for both new builds and renovation projects in a wide range of applications.”

The Latitude Commercial heat pump has been engineered for reliable and efficient delivery of low-carbon cooling and hot water. It has a wide operating range of -22°C to 40°C for heating and 10°C to 45°C for cooling. It delivers high efficiency heating output up to 42.5 kW per unit (A-7/W35), with flow temperatures of up to 70°C for immediate preparation of domestic hot water (DHW) up to 60°C.

This ensures it can deliver strong output under high demand and consistent performance, even during usage spikes and peak periods. A high seasonal efficiency (SCOP up to 5.23 at 35°C) reduces energy consumption and operating costs, helping to ease budget pressures.

The heat pump uses small quantities of R290 refrigerant, a safe, environmentally responsible solution with low global warming potential. This, combined with integrated system safety features, ensures reliable and secure operation.

Intelligent controls are delivered through the WPM Touch colour touch display. This manages heating, cooling, and hot water functions, integrates up to 14 heat pumps in a cascade design. It connects seamlessly with traditional boilers and PV systems, and also includes a swimming pool heating option.

The compact design of the Latitude Commercial heat pump makes it easier to transport and position, even in tight urban spaces. It also offers flexible installation options on roofs or ground and a multi-stage design of enhanced safety measures during and post installation.

Dimplex's 2-year manufacturer's guarantee is provided as standard, with warranty extensions available for added peace of mind. The unit has been designed to require minimal servicing to help reduce disruption once in situ, which, combined with long product lifespans, helps reduce lifetime costs.
