When we set out to create SuDSPlanter®, our aim was to produce an environmentally sound flood mitigation device which would improve homeowners’ lives through urban greening and flood defence.

We’re proud to have achieved all that, and more: yes, SuDSPlanter® is ideal for individual homes, but it also has uses in the wider commercial and housing development fields, the water industry and as a compelling educational tool, with direct relevance to the National Curriculum.

We now have a manufacturing team producing the planters, and clients ranging from individual householders to schools and community projects. To fit with our environmental ethos our SuDSPlanter® is made from 100% recycled/recyclable materials. We are constantly working to innovate and develop our product range to meet our customers’ and the environment’s needs.

Lorna Davis and Alex Stephenson are the innovative minds behind SuDSPlanter®, a sustainable flood mitigation device enhancing urban greening and flood defence. Lorna, a landscape architect, and surface water management specialist, brings a wealth of experience from her work within the Water Industry delivering Surface water management solutions alongside other environmental initiatives. Alex, with 45 years in surface water management, has led major projects in drainage, wastewater, and sustainable water management. Together, they have developed SuDSPlanter® for homeowners, schools, and the wider commercial sector, promoting environmental sustainability with their 100% recycled plastic product and ongoing innovations.
